For those of you who have seen the big acrylic box in our waiting room, full of Botox Cosmetic boxes, you may know we had a contest last month to guess how many Botox boxes were in it.   This approximately 4 ft x 2 ft x 2 ft box contained all the Botox Cosmetic Boxes we used in 2011.  Each box represented 1 vial of 100 units of Botox Cosmetic (including a few 50 unit vials as well.)

The final count was 1,123 vials of Botox Cosmetic (123,300 units.)  Since 1 vial of 100 units treats an average of 3 patients, this represents over 3300 patients treated in our office in 2011.

The winner of the contest was Suzy W., with a guess of 1200.  Congratulations Suzy, we will be contacting you to give you your Free 20 unit Botox treatment!

I realize that hot flashes and night sweats are not directly dermatology related, but… I had to share with you the availability of my invention, the RejuvenAir Fan.  I developed this special fan with a patented timer to combat those annoying symptoms of menopause.   I was looking for a small, quiet fan with an automatic on/off mechanism when I was experiencing hot flashes, but nothing like that existed… so I invented it! 

Just tap the large flash button on the front of the fan and it turns on for 2.5, 5 or 10 minutes, then shuts off automatically, like a “snooze” alarm.  It can be turned on while half asleep and no need to stay awake to turn it off.   Its also very small, quiet, tilts and oscillates.  Now women can sleep through the night better and feel more rejuvenated the next day.  It can be used as a regular fan as well,  for your desk or while exercising, and  by anyone wanting quiet, cool relief.
